Hello! I'm Azia.
(Pronounced 'Asia')
(Pronounced 'Asia')
I'm 26 years old and the mother of two beautiful children; a 4 year old daughter and a newborn son. So- I am also 'Mama.'
One morning (before I found out I was pregnant with my son- around November 2011) I was getting dressed and my daughter proudly exclaimed, "Mama, you've got a big belly!" She ran towards me to jiggle it.
I was mortified as I looked in the mirror, Shit. I do have a big belly! I have a big everything! Grabbing the flub with both hands as Eva did, I vowed I'd make whatever changes necessary to get that big belly down.
Then, the big blue plus sign stared back at me. And my belly grew- and it grew- and it grew... until my belly was stretched beyond recognition. (Real women have stretchmarks, I hope!)
Luckily, I had a healthy and happy pregnancy. My son was just .05 ounces shy of 9 pounds and I gained only an additional 5 pounds during my entire pregnancy!
Since his birth I have been working my behind off to say good-bye to that belly!
We owe it to our children to be the best versions of ourselves. I want to be able to keep up with my kids and lead by example when it's comes to leading a healthy lifestyle. If you haven't got your health, not much else matters.
I'll be documenting my journey: The good. The bad. The ugly. (Trust me, there's going to be *a lot* of ugly!)
Wish me luck!
You gotta love a kid's honesty! Good luck on your journey to be the best for your children.
